CATALONIA MALAGA, Malaga – A Smart Stay in the City

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not so great experiences. The rooms were not clean and had a very bad smell after cleaning, but they were ultimately comfortable. The hotel overall looks great and clean, with accommodating staff. The absence of a swimming pool and fitness hall was a tiny minus, but overall, it's an experience worth trying out.

My stay at the hotel was really pleasant overall. The rooms, although more akin to a Fairfield Inn in the US rather than a 4-star hotel, were clean, bright, and surprisingly comfortable and quiet. The service was exceptional, with the staff being incredibly helpful, whether it was arranging a 4 am taxi or ensuring all my needs were met. The location, while a bit of a walk from Malaga center, was nice and convenient for me, particularly as it was right by the beach. The dining experience was satisfactory, offering a tasty buffet at a reasonable price. The facilities were decent, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Although our stay could have been better elsewhere due to noise from the main road, the room came with a sea view, king bed, selection of pillows, tea/coffee facilities, minibar/fridge, and black-out curtains. The bedside lighting was a bit poor, but the service was extremely friendly and attentive. The hotel's location just one street away from Misericordia Beach was perfect for a mix of beach and city trips. The dining experience was excellent, especially with some traditional products. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with minor inconveniences, but the brilliant staff made up for it.
